The opportunity

Tech Crew student staff provide high-quality customer service to the Southern New Hampshire University community. General duties include providing free soda and snacks to all student guests, selling beer and wine for those 21+ on select nights and assisting with programs taking place in the space. Employees must be willing to work flexible hours, late nights and weekends. This position also supports the Office of Student Involvement in general, and employees may participate in special projects as assigned. Our student employees are essential in helping us build community and support others finding a sense of belonging at SNHU. We look to hire students who demonstrate integrity.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Set-up, run and break-down the professional sound system located in the Last Chapter Pub to include: microphones, sound board, projector, speakers, monitors, stage lights, etc. for a variety of events and performers
• Maintain, organize and inventory equipment and make recommendations for new equipment purchases
• DJ and host Trivia events in the Last Chapter Pub and other special programming as requested by departments, clubs and the Last Chapter Pub Program Manager
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in difficult situations with little to no supervision
• Maintain a positive attitude during all shifts and be a role model for colleagues
• Arrive at all shifts on-time and stay until the end of the shift
• Wear appropriately designated and provided attire
• Attend all special equipment trainings
• Must be committed to creating and supporting an inclusive community
• Attend all monthly staff meetings and employee appreciation events

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a full time enrolled student in an Undergraduate Day or Graduate Day Program
• Must be able to climb stairs, sit, stoop, walk and carry 50 lbs. as needed
• This position is available for Work Study students only
• Students with work study may be prioritized
