Best People, Best Solutions, Best Results Job Summary: Qlarant is seeking a dedicated GA Quality Assessor to join our team on a full-time, regular basis. This position is home-based in Georgia, with a requirement to travel up to 75% of the time. As a GA Quality Assessor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our services. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough assessments of intellectual and developmental disabilities services to ensure they meet established quality standards. You will be expected to identify areas for improvement, provide detailed reports, and collaborate with other team members to implement quality enhancement strategies. The role involves frequent travel, for which per diem is provided, to various sites to perform on-site reviews. You will also be responsible for staying up-to-date with industry standards and regulations, participating in continuous education, and contributing to the development of quality assessment protocols. The salary for this position ranges from $48,000.00 to $56,000.00 annually, reflecting the level of expertise and responsibility required for the role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Utilizes a person-centered approach to evaluate the quality of the service delivery system for individuals diagnosed with a disability.
* Performs assessments and reporting on the quality of the State's Medicaid Waiver systems that includes interviews of all stakeholders, observations, record reviews and remediation through technical assistance and training.
* Utilizes various tools to evaluate individuals' services and collects data to determine the degree to which individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are receiving person centered supports and services according to identified needs and goals, and the degree to which providers of services meet quality standards and conform to state requirements.
* Determines the adequacy and quality of services and supports and develops specific recommendations to assist providers in making the needed improvements consistent with state requirements.
* Provides technical assistance to facilitate needed improvements to the service delivery system, whenever applicable.
* Gathers pertinent information from a variety of sources, i.e. interviews, record reviews and observations to perform a detailed evaluation using conventional tools and guidelines.
* Prepares written summary reports and presentations.
* Independently prepares, schedules and coordinates the logistics for all assigned on-site reviews, follow-up and technical assistance activities.
* Share expertise and updates regarding current approaches and trends in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities.
* Serves as the expert in identifying both problems and solutions to ensure quality assurance and improvement activities appropriately address the needs of individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
* Analyses each personal situation and customizes the appropriate approach to the situation.
* Prepares and makes presentations to internal and external stakeholders.
* Establishes and maintains a collaborative and consultative approach throughout the consultation process.
* Uses professional judgment and discretion to report any allegation of abuse, neglect or exploitation and takes the necessary action to safeguard the person.
* Inputs data into electronic applications to document data collected, results of findings and generating recommendations for quality improvement within pre-established time frames.
* Works closely with Regional personnel to coordinate provider/support coordinator follow-up and technical assistance activities.
* Participates in internal and external focus groups and professional meetings, as required, to share expertise, data, changing approaches, and related trends.
* Initiates participation in training activities to maintain current, and develop new, technical and professional competencies.
* Participates in workgroups to develop procedures, policy, tools and training sessions. Required Skills
