Shift:Sunday-Thursday 9pm-6am

Location: Lawrence, MA

This candidate will be responsible for managing all duties related to the Cross Dock operation in Lawrence MA, Concord NH, and Dover NH.

Essential Functions:



  • Manage the drivers in Lawrence, Concord, and Dover
  • Ensuring trucks are loaded and leave on time.
  • Responsible to hire, train, and develop direct reports
  • Stay updated with compliance and DOT Regulations.
  • Responsible for all equipment, trucks, and related preventative maintenance schedules and assist remote branches with their vehicles/drivers.
  • Monitor scheduled daily deliveries and ensure customer time commitments are met.
  • Responsible for KPI's on Photo Compliance, planned vs actuals, lost in shipments, missed deliveries, branch transfers and missed time commitments
  • Work with Shop Steward on Union contract issues.
  • Other projects/duties as assigned by Regional Transportation Manager and VP of Operations.



Qualifications:



  • 3 to 5 years prior experience managing Union Drivers and solid knowledge of contractual bargaining agreement is required.
  • Ability to organize and multitask.
  • Product knowledge is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Strong knowledge of Fleet Maintenance.
  • Understanding and experience with GPS tracking.
  • Prior Management experience
