The Buyer position will be responsible for negotiating and buying Plastic Seat Components in support of the Interior organization. The duties include management of the sourcing process, developing and implementing creative solutions to complex challenges, capacity and cost management, and PO/ contract administration. This includes but is not limited to: Selecting suppliers, placing purchase orders, managing complex contracts, interfacing with internal and external customers, managing key Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier relationships, and developing commodity strategies.

The ideal candidate must have: The ability to coordinate activities with other departments and resolve conflicts; must lead a cross functional team with "One Voice" to suppliers; and develop and manage key supplier relationships while maximizing suppliers' ability to deliver quality product on time. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for developing and/or assisting in the development of strategies and solutions to continuously improve costs and capacity.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Marketing, Economics, International Business, Accounting, Entrepreneurship, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to think and act strategically
  • Analytical skills
  • Experience in working in cross-functional teams
  • Well organized, self-motivated, and resourceful managing complex situations
  • Ability to support all aspects of the commercial relationship with the supply base and key internal stakeholders
  • Must be skilled at relationship building, cost analysis, negotiation (both internal and external), benchmarking, time management and presentations to all levels of management
