The Dealership Branding & Construction Manager is a key position within the Dealership Realty and Branding team. This role is responsible to develop and oversee the creation, implementation and change management of Stellantis' U.S. dealership design intent with a focus on signage programs and the development and construction execution of corporate-controlled new/upgraded/maintenance dealerships. Responsibilities include construction management, oversight of facility electrification implementation requirements in our corporate owned/leased dealership properties, and general maintenance of those properties. The role also includes overall management of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and Fiat dealership signage programs. Finally, dealership design configurations for CDJR brands including, but not limited to development, execution, financial approvals and budgeting, contract commitments, marketing efforts, design approvals and internal/external communications. This position will also be a co-liaison to our U.S. field organization, customer experience, and brand teams, North America leadership, and our Global Corporate Identity team. Responsibilities Overview:
- Lead multiple teams of vendor partners to complete dealership construction projects, dealership image project management, architectural services, trademarked signage, interior displays, and all required building materials, e.g., dealer furniture, tile, identity, graphics, interior and exterior branding, lighting, etc.
- Oversee leads from our Construction Project Management and Signage Vendor partners
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Global Branding team, Office of the General Counsel, Stellantis Environmental Due Diligence and Legal teams, Realty Transaction Manager, Property Management team, and Dealer Operations and Field teams - to ensure all internal governance and communication requirements are met
- Business case development and presentations to Stellantis and dealership leadership
- Develop request for proposals (RFP) and manage the process for contracting and overall dealership improvement planning
- Represent Stellantis with local municipalities for the purposes of construction compliance and permitting
- Ensure Stellantis complies with all legal (state, local, etc.) requirements for each project
- Single point of contact for incoming Dealer Principal throughout facility improvements
- Monitor and measure performance objectives for each Vendor partner and the overall project, developing and communicating reporting
- Manage and control all project costs associated, including bid process, approvals, invoice processing, close-out, and audit
- Mitigate project risks with proactive and creative solutions
- Oversight and promotion of Stellantis' dealership image compliance program
- Management of corporate identity requirements for U.S. dealerships
- Review and approval of architectural drawings via internal governance
- Management of temporary and/or short-term facility needs for U.S. dealers
- Develop promotional facility materials to assist the field team with their objectives
- Management and tracking of current and future facility capacity needs
- Ad hoc assignments as requested by leadership
The ideal candidate will have experience in an automotive OEM field organization, Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) implementation, construction management or a dealership background with an understanding of retail dealership operations. This individual will be comfortable in challenging the status quo by being a champion for innovation and continuous development of design modifications to meet business needs (i.e. electrification, modernization, global changes, etc.) and construction process improvements. They will have an excellent proficiency in project management and financial tracking as well as Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint and Excel. Most importantly, they will have the ability to establish and maintain positive, professional working relationships with both internal and external individuals and groups.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of related experience
- Strong leadership, presentation and communications skills (written and verbal)
- Proven skill set in building and maintaining successful business relationships
- Detail oriented with excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness in forward thinking and time management
- Proven ability in managing challenges - provide and implement appropriate solutions
- Experience in business case development - strategy and financial aspects
- Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite software programs (PowerPoint, Slides, Excel, Sheets, Word, Docs)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Business, Construction, Finance or similar discipline
- Construction management certifications and/or experience
- Experience in an automotive OEM retail field force (network development, sales, or service & parts focused) or in a retail dealership environment
