Electrical Mechanical Maintenance-Week Day

Utz Quality Foods, a proud name in snacks and a company built on tradition, is growing, and we want you to grow with us. We're currently looking to add an experienced Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Technician to our week day team at the Kindig Lane facility in Hanover, PA.

In this full-time role, you'll play a key part in keeping our high-speed packaging and processing equipment running at peak performance. You'll focus on troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and preventive maintenance, all within a fast-paced and highly automated food manufacturing environment. This role has a required shift of Monday-Thursday 6:00AM-6:00PM.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment, including:
  
  
  
  • Motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls
  • Extruders, and sheeters
  • Temperature instruments and burner systems
  • Electronic scales and PLC-controlled machinery
  
  
  
  
• Packaging equipment and sensor-based automation
• Perform hands-on work with electrical components, such as:
  
  
  
  • Relays, motors, panels, control circuits, and lighting systems
  
  
  
  
• Accurately read and interpret electrical prints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Install and wire a variety of systems and equipment, including pumps, blowers, fans, and relay panels
• Independently install conduit, EMT, and sealtite to support new installations and upgrades
• Execute preventive maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to support production goals and continuous improvement

Requirements:

• 
  

  Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial maintenance (electrical and mechanical)

  
  
• 
  

  Experience working with automated conveyor systems or warehouse distribution technology is a plus

  
  
• 
  

  Skilled in diagnosing issues with sensors, relays, VFDs, and control panels

  
  
• 
  

  Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs and working at heights up to 30 feet

  
  
• 
  

  Strong troubleshooting mindset and attention to detail

  
  
• 
  

  Experience in food manufacturing or packaging is a plus
