What you'll do:

As the Business Continuity Program Administrator, you'll have excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail, change management experience with ability to drive adoption of new processes and procedures, with a clear understanding of Financial Services and Business Continuity. You will support the maturity, development, implementation, and enhancement of our organization's business continuity strategic frameworks. Including supporting the advancement of robust testing protocols, developing comprehensive policies and procedures, managing critical BC projects to strengthen our operational resilience capabilities as a large financial institution (LFI). Additionally, you'll complete activities to review current processes and metrics that support operational effectiveness, identify constraints or opportunities that inhibit or accelerate the business and/or technology strategy, while also developing potential options/approaches to improve business outcomes. You'll also lead development and review of artifacts to ensure they accurately describe current state processes, practices, and/or metrics, while also ensuring the documentation of any alternative processes or practice options with associated impact on KRIs, KPIs or Operational Metrics. Additionally, you'll identify and facilitate discussions with IT, Product, and the Business subject matter experts, to understand the problem statement and/or opportunity while also capturing any relevant insights to include a full review of the findings or artifacts produced to validate the right problem or opportunity is being assessed.
  • Lead projects ensuring the business outcomes are achieved. Work to fully understand how the activities connect to the defined project objectives, the breakdown structure for the activities, setting and meeting deadlines for that project/activity. Lead discussions with stakeholders and subject matter experts to gather requirements and review artifacts, while working to resolve issues that impede progress.
  • Develop critical documentation and artifacts to meet project objectives and complete development of high-quality deliverables, while effectively communicating any relevant learnings, findings, or impacts, with the subject matter experts.
  • Leverage Risk Management experience from an LFI subject to heightened standards, specifically in risk, compliance, or corporate governance.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve business continuity policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop, capture, and maintain of KRIs, KPIs, and Operational Metrics, as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain reporting which provides visibility into program maturity and effectiveness ensuring the team can communicate program status, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and board committees clearly and concisely.
  • Mature business continuity testing frameworks/methodologies to validate recovery capabilities across all business units including full-scale exercising.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years of related experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Project Management or similar field.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
  • Entry level to intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
  • Professional certification preferred (CBCP, MBCI, PMP, or equivalent).
  • Intermediate to advanced capabilities in process and data analysis within a specific domain or functional area utilizing critical thinking skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced capabilities in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Power BI and relevant Diagramming Software (e.g. Lucid, Visio, etc.), as well as technical aptitude and experience within a specific domain.
  • Intermediate to advanced speaking and writing executive-level communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of business continuity frameworks (ISO 22301, NIST, DRI Professional Practices).
  • Ability to work independently, collaboratively and as a team player.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
  • Be comfortable in a fast-paced/ever-changing work environment.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime, evenings and/or weekends due to incident response and/or test support.
