Inova Merrifield Behavioral Health Center is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Health Therapist IV to join the CATS (Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services) team. The working hours are Mon, Wed, Thu 1230-9pm and Tue, Fri 830am-5pm Featured Benefits:

Behavioral Health Therapist IV Job Responsibilities:
- Serves as clinical expert providing a range of therapeutic services, psychoeducational programming and behavioral interventions to assist the client in achieving progress towards the goals and objectives of individualized treatment plans.
- Assesses and diagnoses mental health and/or substance use disorders through a bio/psycho/social department specific and evidenced based assessment identifying patient and family goals/needs.
- Serves as a clinical leader by providing clinical supervision to team members seeking licensure as well as supervision/mentoring of graduate students during clinical internships.
- Integrates assessments using information related to cultural, clinical, ethnic, age and other factors into the plan of care while providing a range of therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Master's Degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in Mental Health, Social Work, Counseling, Substance Use Disorders or Behavioral Health related field.
- Experience: Five years of experience post licensure in mental health/substance use disorder treatment, psychoeducational programming including targeted, evidence-based interventions (crisis intervention, trauma, and integrative therapies).
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support required within 3months of hire
- Approved Clinical Supervisor Certification within 3 months of hire
- Vistelar required within 6 Months of hire
- License: one of the following required upon start.
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC),
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT),
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW),
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP),
- Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Run a specialized group one-on-one therapy
- Strong interest in substance use disorders
- Experience in adult services
