Trident Seafoods is the largest vertically integrated seafood harvesting and processing company in North America. Species harvested and processed by Trident include virtually every commercial species of salmon, whitefish, and crab harvested in the North Pacific and Alaska. The global supply chain also includes cultured and wild species from a network of trusted sources worldwide.

Summary: The IT Systems Specialist MDM is responsible for installing and maintaining operating systems and related software to ensure stable performance. Support will be provided remotely, as well as at production locations performing maintenance and repairs, including software and computer installations and upgrades with a focus on Mobile Device Management. This position may require occasional travel to remote Alaska sites.

Essential functions (responsibilities, tasks, supervisory needs)

  • Administer and support enterprise MDM solutions (e.g., Intune, Workspace ONE).
  • Implement and enforce mobile security policies including encryption, remote wipe, and app restrictions.
  • Collaborate with InfoSec and HR teams to ensure compliance with mobile usage policies.
  • Provide Tier 2 support for escalated mobile device issues.
  • Create and maintain documentation for MDM procedures and user guides.
  • Analyze usage trends and recommend improvements to mobile device strategy.
  • Performs routine analysis to include evaluation of hardware and software based on business processes and end user criteria.
  • Directly interacts with assigned managers and staff to resolve hardware and software-based issues.
  • Develops and maintains system specifications and technical documentation.
  • Monitors the team support ticketing queue and manages individual queue.
  • Maintains and supports factory equipment including touch screens, scanners, printers.
  • Maintains systems by researching and resolving problems, maintaining systems integrity, and administering security.
  • Reviews for changes and upcoming developments in software applications
  • Creates documentation for supported systems and enhancements.
  • Designs, tests, and modifies applications, modules and/or approaches and required enhancements.
  • Performs advanced analysis and troubleshooting for various applications.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Acts as liaison between Information Technology vendors and Trident Seafoods as needed.

This is a non-exempt position with an annualized salaryrange of $80,000 to $110,000.

Minimum Requirements

Required Qualifications (education, years of experience, KSAs)

  • A minimum of 4 to 6 years' experience working in IT systems or a similar role.
  • 2+ years of experience in IT support with a focus on mobile device management.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and years of experience.
  • A strong understanding of computer systems and web services technology.
  • Direct experience with MDM platforms (Intune, JAMF, or similar). Managing iOS, Android, and Windows devices
  • The ability to occasionally work outside of standard business hours, including providing remote weekend coverage (on-call).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and knowledge of mobile security best practices.

Preferred education and experience

  • Microsoft Configuration Manager experience and other Microsoft related certifications.
  • Preferred experience with Zebra DNA and handhelds
  • Experience servicing and supporting industrial label printers.
  • Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Bash) is a plus.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • A strong ability to convey technical information to non-technical end users.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and simplify complex problems to develop practical solutions.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and to self-motivate and follow-through on projects.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and establish relationships with various levels of management and others of varying skill sets.

Work Environment

This is an on-site position based at the Trident Support Center office in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood, with the option to work remotely on Fridays.

In-office time takes place in a typical office environment: temperature controlled with adequate lighting and moderate noise. While remote, employees must provide appropriate home office space.

Physical/Mental demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time at a desk. Frequently required to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee will occasionally stand, walk, and may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision for frequent use of a computer.
