Limited X-Ray Operator

Limited X-Ray Operator Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with Radiology Technologists, Radiologists and other professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques and protocols for specific cases.
• Performs routine maintenance and quality control checks on X-ray equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Provides assistance to patients during the imaging process, including explaining procedures and answering questions.
• Participates in continuing education and training to stay current with advances in X-ray technology and medical imaging practices.
• Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy using established procedures and safety protocols to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Licensure: Virginia-Limited Radiologic Technologist License within 3 months
• Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.
• Experience: 2 years experience as a Clinical Tech or Certified Medical Assistant. Must have successfully completed the Inova Clinical Tech Academy or be a Certified Medical Assistant.
