Job Description

We are currently hiring a Sr. Brand Manager, Twisted Tea in Boston, MA.

*A Hybrid position at Boston Beer requires that our coworkers reside within commuting distance to be onsite 3 days a week (Tuesday - Thursday).

The Sr Brand Manager is responsible for maximizing the impact of the existing Brand high-end product portfolio, including positioning existing products and developing and launching new products to drive volume and reinforce key brand equities. Also responsible for projects related to communication and implementation of the overall brand strategy, including new products, brand materials and packaging.

What You'll Brew:

Strategy



  • Own the annual strategic planning and tactical development through launch of the brand's retail promotional/trade programming plus local and experiential activation
  • Develop positioning for existing high-end products to maximize impact of the product portfolio
  • Research, develop, test and launch new offerings to drive key equities for the brand
  • Develop recommendations and gain alignment with senior management on direction for key initiatives and product communication, ensuring strong buy-in with Sales as well
  • Utilize IRI and depletions data to develop and support compelling selling stories and rationale for product recommendations, volume forecasts and project recaps
  • Develop pricing and P&L analysis for new products
  • Develop market research plans and utilize both quantitative and qualitative methods to support key decisions


Promotion



  • Collaborate closely with Sales to develop marketing initiatives and effectively communicate details to the organization
  • Maximize cross-functional relationships through ongoing two-way communications with Sales, Operations and Brewing
  • Evaluate product or program opportunities as needed based on strategic and financial value to BBC
  • Leverage consumer insights into breakthrough marketing ideas


Product



  • Manage development of packaging and selling materials
  • Develop and manage timelines and deliverables on assigned projects
  • Proactively identify potential issues within a project plan and develop contingency plans to address them
  • Motivate cross-functional team members to keep projects advancing as planned and keep their focus on project priorities
  • Evaluate success of program and product initiatives based on analysis of costs and benefits to the organization
  • Occasional travel for meetings and trainings

Minimum Qualifications + Skills:



  • Bachelors Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in a results-oriented consumer product marketing role at a marketing driven firm
  • Proven experience in developing and launching new products
  • Project planning and management, budgeting and financial analysis, and product positioning
  • Experience in developing consumer marketing communications including online communication, advertising direction and/or promotions
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to project completion
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to gather consumer insights through quantitative and qualitative market research and translate into creative marketing initiatives
  • Must have proven inter-personal and communication skills
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Masters Degree
  • Social and Digital Experience a plus
  • Consumer Packaged Goods industry experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret data, add value and provide action-oriented recommendations in-line with business objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to gather consumer insights through quantitative and qualitative market research and translate into creative marketing initiatives
  • Must have proven inter-personal and communication skills
  • Must be highly organized, flexible, self-motivated and able to succeed in a dynamic fast-paced environment


Level: 4

At the Boston Beer Company and in accordance with pay transparency laws, we are open about our salary ranges. For this role, the salary range is between $115,000 and $170,000. However, it's important to note that where the person hired starts in this range is dependent on their related experience, skillset and location. Additionally, this position qualifies for an discretionary annual bonus based on company and individual performance.
