JOB SUMMARY
The Materials Inventory Coordinator works under minimum supervision to provide skills required to operate central supply and/or inventory business unit.

Forklift experience is strongly preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Required



  • Education
    High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Experience
    5 years of experience working on computers using ERP/WMS platforms (i.e., PeopleSoft and SC Logistics)
    Must be able to lift and/or move 50 lbs.


  • Licenses and Certifications
    (DRIVERS) DRIVERS LICENSE Must have possession of valid State of Texas motor vehicle operator's license when required by employing department Upon Hire


Preferred



  • Experience
    Experience includes data analysis, research and root cause analysis and forecasting/trend analysis, use of forklift, electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.


JOB DUTIES



  • Monitors inventory accuracy and performs accurate, appropriate, and timely data entry of daily transactions and approved adjustments to all business units and perpetual inventory under the direct responsibility of Materials Management Operations.
  • Review and approve inventory replenishment daily to maintain optimal stock levels. Analyze trends and forecasting to determine EOQ for all SKUs. Adjust min/max accordingly.
  • Work closely with Purchasing Buyer to coordinate all vendor issues (damages, shortages, overages, mis-shipments), vendor returns, and outstanding purchase orders.
  • Responsible for processing all RTV's and vendor recalls, and customer RMA's in a timely manner.
  • and resolve all inventory-related issues in a timely manner following best practices and current processes. Document errors for process improvement.
  • Communicate by official e-mail to the University, vendors, and customers to resolve all customer issues.
  • Prepare, analyze, and document cycle count activity. Plan and execute annual physical inventory. Develop a plan to correct physical inventory variance to metric.
  • Prepare monthly reports and dashboards for assigned functions and Materials Management operations.
  • Work cross-departmentally on inventory, training, compliance, and project-based needs and topics.
  • Meets departmental standards for productivity, accuracy, and quality. Ensure that consistent processes are in place, documented, and followed by all staff.
  • Assists Manager in coordinating and monitoring staff activity.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
