Job Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for performing a variety of engineering and engineering related duties to become familiar with the Engineering staff, Company programs and practices. Performs tasks under the close supervision of experienced engineers with assignments screened for unusual or difficult problems and the appropriate techniques and procedures selected.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists senior engineering personnel by completing basic tasks including revising drawings, charts, tables and reference manuals. Assist in the writing of methods and the estimating of manufacturing costs.
  • Apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in tests, data and calculations for less complicated standard designs or simpler phases of small projects where little evaluation and ingenuity is required.
  • Responsible for department pipeline activities
  • Perform other duties as necessary or appropriate to the position.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and

material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.

  • Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering preferred
  • 0 -5 years of engineering and manufacturing experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Aerospace manufacturing and quality practices
  • SolidWorks, 3DExperience, and/or Catia V5 experience
  • Project management
  • Six Sigma
