Overview The S1B Propulsion Plant Arrangements and Structures Group is the lead Design Yard Engineering Organization for the arrangements and internal structures of the COLUMBIA Class propulsion plant. Engineers within this department develop and maintain the detailed design of all structural foundations with the S1B Reactor Plant and Engine Room spaces. Successful candidates will be adept at managing the stakeholders and requirements of their products to develop high quality solutions to complex problems. D480 engineers are expected to perform diverse job functions including structural analysis, detail design development of structural foundations, technical writing, and construction support on a daily basis. Engineers will regularly interface with Union designers, construction engineering, shipyard personnel, and Naval Reactors. BS or MS in civil or mechanical engineering required for all candidates. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and above average written and verbal communication skills are required. Qualifications Required:
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering
