About the Role Redhorse transforms how government uses data and technology. We are seeking a Policy Analyst / Business Process Analyst to play a key role in developing a next-generation IT application. You will work directly with end-users of an existing web application and paper-based processes, collaborating with technology teams to design and implement a streamlined, automated solution. Your expertise in policy and procedures will ensure compliance and best practices are integrated throughout the entire process. This is a high-impact role that directly improves the efficiency and security of government operations. Key Responsibilities Develop a next-generation IT application to streamline and automate business workflows based on input from end users. Train end-users on policy-based best practices related to protected data (PII, HIPAA, etc.). Work with non-technical end-users to understand their current workflows and IT system usage. Translate non-technical user requirements into technical specifications for technology engineering teams. Review technology products for compliance with data handling policies and end-user functional requirements. Maintain a policy-oriented knowledge base to support ongoing operations. Identify opportunities to improve business workflow efficiency through automation. Required Experience/Clearance Knowledge of policies and procedures governing appropriate use of protected data like PII or HIPAA data. Proven ability to streamline business workflows and improve efficiency through automation. Experience working with non-technical end-users to understand their workflows and IT system usage. Experience coordinating with technology engineering teams to translate non-technical requirements into technical specifications. Experience reviewing technology products for compliance with data handling policies and end-user functional requirements. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Desired Experience Past involvement in user experience (UX) design of IT applications. Experience with Agile software development methodologies. Familiarity with data modeling techniques. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
