Media Now Interactive (MNI), a division of DotDash Meredith provides a single point of contact for multiplatform, customized and targeted advertising. From research and strategy to implementation and analysis, MNI offers a full suite of digital products and services as well as targeted integrated opportunities to efficiently and effectively reach audiences in select markets.

The Sales Coordinator is a key member of our Advertising Sales Team and plays an important role in the success of client business. This person supports and collaborates with multiple sales Account Executive on various projects including prospecting, event coordination, administrative tasks, and projects for MNI's integrated suite of advertising solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to work with internal departments, in addition to the Account Executives they support in their district. This person is a self-starter and can work well independently, quickly sharing resources and materials as needed by Account Executive.

This role also manages details of client events & entertaining as well as any industry events. This includes outreach to prospective vendors and venues, and taking the lead, owning the process of negotiating rates and contracts, drafting proposals for food and beverage orders, and developing new ideas for entertaining clients.

Within this role, you will be responsible for populating pricing for magazine RFPs, collaborating across Insights and Publisher Relations teams.

Responsibilities include: prospecting, including competitive ad spend, facilitating client drop offs, generating reports on advertising performance, administrative work, and customer meeting support.

The ideal candidate is self-starter with a high level of initiative with experience in supporting a sales organization.

Must be able to prioritize and work effectively and efficiently under multiple and often conflicting deadlines.

Must be able to multi-task and work under strict deadlines
The position requires someone who is proactive and able to anticipate required action, when needed, for successful resolution/result.

Hybrid 3x a week- Stamford, CT
In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

Essential Job Functions

75%

Provides support to the sales team (all account executives for your assigned district). Including customer correspondence, gathering pertinent data as requested by the account executive staff, and magazine pricing. Utilize systems such as Salesforce and MediaRadar for sales prospecting and engagement. Point of contact for event coordination in local markets and ordering branded premiums.

15%

Streamlines sales activities, assisting with form completions and internal requests. Facilitate client engagement mailings and/or drop offs.

10%

Assist internal departments with projects for Sales, such as business cards and campaigns to clients.

All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements

Education: College degree preferred , or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

1-2 years in a support role within a sales & customer service organization, preferably within the media & marketing industry.

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills.
  • Time management, business acumen and a strong work ethic are a must.
  • Solid computer skills using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Salesforce; knowledge of MediaRadar, LinkedIn Sales Navigator a plus.
  • Proven track record of learning new skills & products as well as thriving in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented, competitive, fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who can work independently and adapt quickly to different situations.
  • Valid US driver's license is required.
