SUMMARY

The Credit Learning and Growth Officer will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance communication, training, and development for Credit Analyst and Lending functions. In addition, they will be responsible for enhancing ongoing training for those groups, including administrating gaps assessments, and co-developing in-house training curriculum.

This role will lead and oversee the ElevateU Early Career Program, designed to attract, develop, and retain high-potential early-career talent. This program fosters leadership development, delivers measurable benefits to participants and the organization, and builds a sustainable talent pipeline that supports our long-term commitment to the communities we serve.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Support Change management and communication regarding Credit Policy, Procedure, and Guidelines.
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled meetings with Credit Analysts Virtually.
  • Draft instruction materials, onboarding plans, and other relevant documentation focused on Credit and Lending.
  • The administrator needs assessments to identify skills deficits or gaps to inform training enhancements for Credit and Lending functions.
  • Address any identified deficiencies with tailored in-house training.
  • Co-develop and create in-house training and curriculum focused on Credit and Lending.
  • Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the ElevateU Early Career Program, ensuring alignment with organizational learning and talent development goals.
  • Design and implement a development framework that cultivates leadership capabilities, business acumen, and career readiness among program participants.
  • Establish success metrics and regularly evaluate program outcomes to demonstrate organizational impact and participant growth.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure meaningful rotations, mentoring relationships, and project-based learning experiences.
  • Promote the long-term sustainability and visibility of the program, positioning it as a cornerstone of the organization's talent strategy and leadership pipeline.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures
  • Complete all required compliance exams on an annual basis
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience working as a Credit Analyst or similar role.
  • Prior experience building training materials is a plus.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Expert level knowledge of credit policies, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without day-to-day supervision.
  • Highly capable disposition with the ability to engage an audience.
