This Position reports to:

GBS HR Expert Services Global Mobility M

As a member of the Global Mobility team, you will have the opportunity to play a critical role in the coordination of global mobility initiatives within ABB at both a team and global level. Each day, you will support the global mobility strategy within a designated geography or specialist area as a single point of contact case manager for assignees and the business. You will also showcase your expertise by offering end-to-end support and advice in all areas of assignment management.

The work model for the role is remote (#LI-Remote) or Hybrid if located near an ABB office location (Preferred). Candidates based in the Eastern or Central time zones will be best able to support the global audience of internal customers.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Handling fairly and equitably the allocated international assignment cases as well as the first line tier of policy exceptions, interpretations, and positions.

  • Owning the timely and accurate initiation and follow-through of immigration, relocation, tax, etc. services and processes.

  • Analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing complex and technical global mobility information and communicating it in a clear, concise, and easy-to-understand manner to all stakeholders (e.g., HR Business Partners (HRBP) and Line Managers).

  • Supporting the creation of and delivery of training and coaching on policies, standards, and programs to internal stakeholders, as required.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelors degree preferred

  • 5+ years of HR experience preferably with experience in managing global mobility matters.

  • Should be comfortable working within an international environment and across diverse cultures.

  • Excellent communication skills and a confident manner.

  • Good organizational, planning and decision making skills.

  • Delivery focused and able to work to tight deadlines.

  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

  • Fluent in spoken and written English; additional languages preferable

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant's qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $79,800 and $148,200 annually.
