The University of California, Merced is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The salary or hourly range the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $73,000 - $87,900. Job Closing Date

About the Job
Under general direction from the Director of Financial and Administrative Operations, provides financial management support to faculty, staff, graduate, and undergraduate students of the School of Natural Sciences. Performs budget/resource analysis varying in complexity, including retrieval of data from the campus's new Oracle financial systems, organization and validation of data, and preparing comprehensive reports for faculty or management, both orally and in writing. Maintains fiscal integrity for all funds and accounts. Ensures that all funds are in an auditable and reportable condition. The Analyst ensures financial ledger reconciliation, timely financial reporting, and budget report development and analysis. Must be able to work under the pressure of constantly changing priorities, unanticipated urgent demands, and multiple tasks. Assists school management with special projects as assigned, including presentations and policy/procedure/guideline development. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
