Laboratory Technical Assistant - Lab-Core-Lab

General Summary:

This is a per diem position.

Performs all point of care duties associated with MT and MLT functions not requiring licensure. The LTA is largely involved in the oversight of laboratory quality control, maintenance functions, and result verification in waive testing. Participates in training and in-service programs to maintain and upgrade competency at the level required by the manager as procedures are changed or added.

Education/Skills Required:
1. Associates of Applied Science (AAS) degree required.
Or
Currently enrolled in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program.
2. Experience with or ability to learn the operations of Laboratory equipment and instruments.
3. Computer and keyboarding skills, understand medical terminology and demonstrate customer service ability.
4. Previous laboratory experience preferred.

A valid NY State Driver's License is required for this role. There is travel between sites.
