Application Window Open date: July 21, 2025 Next review date: Friday, Sep 19, 2025 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Thursday, Jan 21, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking a full-time clinical hematopathologist to join the Clinical Hematopathology service. This position is at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level in the Health Sciences Clinical or Clinical X series, which emphasizes strong commitment to clinical service and teaching. Clinical/translational research or other creative scholarly activities would be expected for applicants in the Clinical X series. Applicants must hold either an M.D. or equivalent degree with eligibility for California medical licensure and board certification in Anatomic and/or Clinical Pathology. Subspecialty board certification or eligibility in Hematopathology is also required, with clinical hematopathology fellowship training at the time of appointment. The successful candidate will be a member of a team responsible for the daily operations of the Hematopathology service at the various UCSF campuses. The Hematopathology section works closely with clinical colleagues in the adult and pediatric hematology/oncology service at UCSF and performs over 4000 Candidates will also be required to play a significant role in teaching fellows, pathology residents and medical students.
