Specific focus is on defining mechanisms by which natural and designed toxin binding proteins sequester various types of small molecule toxins and prevent their actions on ion channels. The candidate will be responsible for conducting biochemical, structural and electrophysiological studies. Approaches include fluorescence polarization, titration calorimetry, X-ray crystallography, cryo-electronmicroscopy, and whole cell planar patch clamp recordings. Required Qualifications:
