Staffmark is partnering with a global leader in asphalt mixing equipment to hire a Service Engineer Technician in Florence, KY. In this high-impact role, you'll oversee the assembly, commissioning, and technical support of asphalt plants. If you have strong electrical/automation expertise, enjoy field work, and are ready for a travel-heavy role, this could be your next big career move.

Pay: $90,000-$100,000/year

Schedule: 12-hour days | Up to 80% travel (domestic & international)

What You'll Do:



  • Assemble, test, and commission asphalt mixing plants on-site
  • Calibrate and verify system performance (electrical/automation components)
  • Troubleshoot system issues and perform diagnostics during commissioning
  • Train customer personnel on system operation, safety, and maintenance
  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for plant control systems
  • Maintain accurate service documentation and reports
  • Recommend system upgrades and enhancements
  • Ensure safety compliance and environmental standards are met
  • Represent the company with professionalism and excellent customer service



What You Bring:



  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics (or equivalent technical diploma with relevant field experience)
  • 3-5 years' experience in field service, commissioning, or industrial maintenance (preferably asphalt or heavy machinery)
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and electrical/automation systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA, NFPA 70E, or other safety certifications (preferred)
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, schematics, and service software
  • Physically fit for hands-on work, lifting tools, and working outdoors or in confined spaces
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 80% of the time
