Purpose of Position

The Material Handler is responsible for performing all inventory control activities. Continuously maintaining accurate records of incoming and outgoing items while developing good relationships with internal customers and teammates. Responsible for performing tasks involved in receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment to Kitting. Maintains responsibility for accuracy of inventory balances and locations. Maintains high internal customer satisfaction with efficient and complete service and support.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Receive and stock items according to classification, to insure accessibility and proper handling of stock.
  • Inspect incoming items to verify condition and quantity received.
  • Performs inventory control cycle count operations as developed and defined by the company, including daily Cycle Counts, monthly obsolete and slow moving write offs.
  • Maintains accurate inventory balances by reviewing stock levels against established levels or material demand.
  • Research all inventory-related discrepancies and make appropriate adjustments in the ERP system.
  • Receive returns and moves product to its proper location.
  • Insures that MAR's and Repairs are processed and provides status updates of MAR's and Repairs.
  • Monitors expected inbound parts and prep floor or storage locations for expected inbound volume.
  • Use forklift to move, load and unload materials from trucks.
  • Set and maintain a schedule and follow standard work practices while tracking progress, and set plans to support requirements and changes.
  • Handle company equipment properly, follow written driver safety rules.
  • Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
  • Accountable for the control and distribution of documents and/or equipment subject to export control restrictions and the security of FSI materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of FSI products.
  • Accountable for the accuracy and completeness of assigned tasks.
  • Able to adhere to a work schedule including prompt and regular attendance.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
  • Provide backup and support for Fulfillment Specialist
Minimum Education
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Minimum Experience
  • One year of Supply Chain related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. ERP experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Syteline, Fastpic, Windows, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Word
  • Inventory Management Software is a plus
