Purpose
This position is responsible for providing direct equipment support of TEU as a single point of contact. Standardization, ordering and delivery of company light vehicles. Reports to the Director of Equipment Operations.

Focus & Scope
Essential duties and responsibilities, i.e. those which are basic, necessary, and an integral part of the job, are indicated below:
  1. Provides direction, leadership, and coordination of the company's Zero Injury Safety Program in Mobile Equipment.
  2. Provide Mobile Division support for TEU as a single point of contact at all locations.
  3. This support includes, but is not limited to, capital equipment purchase needs, rental and small tools equipment needs and supplies.
  4. Developing and manage processes, programs, and reports for all of TEU's needs, including but not limited to, rentals, owned fleet, inventoried supplies, vendors, and suppliers.
  5. Attend relevant meetings with TEU management as necessary.
  6. Plan and facilitate face to face meetings with TEU individual managers and groups.
  7. Travel to TEU's locations on a monthly basis to physically review processes and procedures and provide recommendations for improvement to management.
  8. Negotiate Ford Competitive Price Allowance (CPA) for all light-duty vehicles.
  9. Identify body manufacturers, negotiate pricing, review design drawings and quotes.
  10. Work with operations to identify light-duty vehicles for replacement and additions/including truck and body configuration requirements.
  11. Create and implement overall fleet strategy for specification, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and replacement of all light duty vehicles.
  12. Reviews and approves invoices to validate company expenditures.
  13. Responsible for creating Capital Expenditure plan for light-duty vehicles, place orders and monitor deliveries.
  14. Maintain Capital Expenditure Spreadsheet for all requests for Mobile Equipment and Construction Small Tools.
  15. Provide feedback to Mobile Vice President regarding Fleet Condition and future fleet purchase needs.

Relationships, Qualifications and Requirements, & Competencies

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or a related field or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.

Experience & Industry Expertise
  • A minimum of eight (8) years administrative/supervisory experience in a similar construction/Mobile Equipment facility or an equivalent combination of training and related experience.
  • An understanding of construction/mobile equipment operation practices and policies. A working knowledge of various Collective Bargaining Agreements.

Specific Job Requirements
  • Must be proficient in computer software skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Must demonstrate strong leadership abilities including the ability to lead and manage a team.
  • Must demonstrate an ability to work in a team and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and management.
  • Must demonstrate the ability work well under pressure, remaining composed and professional.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines.
  • Must possess strong verbal communication skills with a diverse workforce.
  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and time management practices.
  • A valid Driver's License and the ability to maintain an acceptable driving record.

Physical Demands - Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:
  • Physical: Sitting for long periods of time working at the computer. Viewing of computer monitor. Keyboarding; use of fingers to make small movements such as typing and mouse usage. Frequent travel. Sitting for long periods of time driving a vehicle to other Districts. Site visits may require walking on uneven ground, climbing, reaching, bending, or stooping. May work varied and extended hours during peak seasons.
  • Work Environment: Typical office environment with adequate temperatures and lighting, low level of noise. Site locations may contain dust, fumes, debris, and extreme weather conditions including excessive heat and rain prevalent at times. Site locations may contain excessive levels of noise due to equipment or machinery operating.

BASE SALARY RANGE:
$100,833.00 - $141,167.00
The range displayed reflects the range the company reasonable expects to pay for the position. The actual base salary is subject to variation due to the role, level, geographic location, relevant education, training, or experience, among other factors.
