A Research Scientist position (open rank) is immediately available in the School of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Georgia Institute of Technology. The successful candidate will fulfill current commitments of the iCOOL center, written in its specific aims to derive measures for the minimum information needed to produce the simplest folds, using information present in extant folds. The primary responsibilities for this position will center on the emergence of protein folds as a problem of information demand, emphasizing the proteins associated with the emergence of Translation and to fulfill current commitments of the iCOOL center. Candidate will also assist in the supervision of Research Assistants attached to this topic and will participate in all iCOOL Center activities. Responsibilities
