Engineering Operations Manager to lead and optimize the day-to-day operations of our engineering teams. This role will be critical in driving process efficiency, aligning cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring that engineering projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate has a strong background in engineering or technical project management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Leadership:
    Develop and implement operational processes that support engineering productivity, resource planning, and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Program & Project Management:
    Oversee timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation across engineering initiatives; monitor risks and dependencies to ensure smooth execution.

  • Performance & Metrics:
    Define and track KPIs, OKRs, and other performance metrics to measure and improve engineering efficiency and delivery.

  • Budget & Vendor Management:
    Assist in budget planning, forecast spend, and manage relationships with external vendors and contractors.

  • Tools & Infrastructure:
    Evaluate and implement tools, workflows, and automation to streamline engineering operations and reporting.

  • Stakeholder Communication:
    Serve as the liaison between engineering and other departments (Product, Finance, HR, etc.) to align goals, priorities, and timelines.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify pain points and implement best practices in engineering processes, agile ceremonies, and release planning.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline) or Business Operations, plus six years of related experience.
  • Experience in creating, analyzing, documenting and testing system and subsystem designs. Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks.
  • Familiarity with project management principles.
  • Must be able to work under project deadlines and be able to establish and maintain engineering project schedules and cost budgets.
  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Must communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form.
  • Requires strong team building and multi-tasking skills.
  • Must be a pro-active leader who is decisive and action-oriented, and can liaise effectively with project teams, project managers and customers (internal and external).
  • Project management qualifications, such as PMI PMP, is desired.

Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
