Branch Director
Various Locations Position Summary: Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Branch Director to supervise and configure a branch structure within the State Emergency Response Team (SERT). This role provides leadership, guidance, and direction to Emergency Coordinating Officers and coordinates the operations of multiple Emergency Support Functions (ESFs) within the assigned branch. The Branch Director ensures cohesion, effective resource allocation, and alignment with the Incident Action Plan (IAP). Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and configure the structure of an assigned branch
- Provide leadership and guidance to Emergency Coordinating Officers (ECOs)
- Coordinate the operational activities of all ESFs within the branch
- Ensure branch operations align with incident objectives and the IAP
- Serve as a liaison between branch staff and SERT leadership
- Support planning and situational awareness reporting
- Monitor performance and ensure mission requirements are met
- Facilitate briefings, updates, and decision-making at the branch level
Basic Qualifications:
- 3+ years of work experience in a leadership role within emergency management
- Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate large-scale operations
- Familiarity with ICS and ESF structures
- Strong decision-making, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to lead in dynamic and high-pressure environments
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting federally declared disasters or multi-agency coordination efforts
- Advanced ICS certification (ICS-300/400)
- Experience with WebEOC and other emergency management systems

- Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment
Working Environment: Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field environments, or remote coordination centers. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
