NATURE AND SCOPE
The Senior Manager, Marketing Planning & Project Management, is responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic marketing plans that drive the organization's overarching business objectives. This role plays a pivotal part in cultivating strong, collaborative relationships across business units to establish and maintain a rigorous, ongoing planning process that supports goal achievement. Partnering closely with key internal and external stakeholders, the position synthesizes business priorities, market intelligence, and competitive insights to deliver comprehensive, data-informed marketing recommendations. Reporting to the VP, Marketing Planning & Operations, this role requires proven leadership experience in managing teams and elevating strategic planning capabilities. A deep expertise in marketing strategy and a demonstrated passion for driving transformative change are essential.


REQUIREMENTS
1. A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or a related field is required. A minimum of seven years of marketing, marketing strategy, product management, or related, including at least three years in a management or leadership role, is also required. Familiarity with the financial services industry is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
2. Proven leadership in managing and developing talent, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
3. Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of business objectives, capable of aligning insights and initiatives to drive long-term organizational success.
4. Proven experience collaborating with senior leadership, influencing cross-functional teams, and effectively presenting strategic recommendations.
5. Demonstrated experience in understanding marketing strategy and marketing channels.
6. Solid analytical skills with an ability to draw observations and insights from data to apply to go forward plans.
7. Strong collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work and communicate with ease across the organization.
8. Demonstrated ability to anticipate the needs of the business and develop creative solutions.
9. Proven ability to organize work, balance multiple priorities and manage a variety of projects in a high-volume work environment with strong attention to detail.
10. Proactive and results-driven leader with a demonstrated ability to independently initiate and execute strategies that deliver measurable business impact.
11. Must develop a thorough understanding of company policies and procedures as they relate to this position. Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all job-related state and federal laws and regulations.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Actively participates and drives the development and execution of the company's strategic marketing approach and comprehensive marketing plan to reach company goals.

2. Manage the development and execution of annual, quarterly and monthly strategic marketing plans for all products, informed by consumer, business and marketing insights ensuring continuous optimization to meet objectives and KPI's.
3. Coordinates and organizes meetings for the annual strategic planning process.
4. Develop a deep understanding of the broader marketing ecosystem, including the role and capabilities of channels - internal and external, as well as the requirements of Landmark and the marketing organization.
5. Conducts consistent analysis of performance data/metrics for both marketing and business to inform plan optimization.
6. Analyzes market trends and competitors to inform planning and ongoing optimizations for each business group.
7. Establish strong working relationships with internal business teams, acting as their trusted marketing & strategy advisor driving their business.
8. Constant analysis and monitoring of metrics and return on investment indicators to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives, business plans, marketing to inform optimizations.
9. Identifies industry trends, and benchmarks with other financial organizations to understand key issues and apply them.
10. Establishes and maintains a strong working relationship with the Marketing Insights & Analytics Manager to leverage data insights that support strategic decision-making.
11. Development of the team through continuous coaching, actionable feedback and setting clear goals.
12. Partnership with Sr. Manager, Creative Services to establish clear process of workflow between the teams.
13. Write and present all creative briefs to internal and external creative teams to kick off work ensuring alignment with business/program goals.
14. Develop communication and deliver presentations for leadership ensuring alignment across stakeholders.
15. Lead and/or participate in various ad-hoc projects and key initiatives as needed by the organization.
16. Proactively provide solutions by collab oratively working with partners to resolve issues
and reduce workflow interruptions.
17. Champions process improvements and new procedures to ensure efficiency.
18. Understand and navigate complex compliance regulations and procedures critical to the preparation and submission of marketing materials to the Compliance team.
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
