Overview

Reporting to an Inventory Control Manager, the Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for ensuring supply continuity in each assigned area. The Analyst is the first and last line of defense to ensure each patient has the supplies available at the right time, place, and quantity enabling the organization to achieve its mission and vision. The role is responsible to manage supply flow to optimal velocity and minimize excess/obsolete and inaccurate inventory. The Analyst serves as an expert in the acquisition, storage, and management of supplies ensuring compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards. Uses system reporting and daily processes to maintain fill rate goals where applicable. Works under the direction of the Inventory Control Manager and in conjunction with Purchasing, Receiving, Distribution and clinical personnel. Assists Inventory Control Manager in identifying possible process changes for greater inventory accuracy and efficiency. Participates in process improvements and supporting material issue/problem resolution. Performs cycle counts and audits to improve data integrity within the ERP system. Understands the ERP system and order fulfillment process to best leverage organizational resources in order to provide supportive services to supply chain partners.

Responsibilities

    Inventory Management Lead for Assigned Clinical Area: Develop, design, implement and maintain par levels that are supportive of operations utilizing data, delivery times and established algorithms, minimizing expired supplies, ensure adequate stock levels are met, limit stock outs and maximizing stewardship efforts to achieve pre-established organizational goals.
  • Facilitate the introduction of new items to stock.
  • Manage alternate location stock including PPE supplies
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and make recommendations to improve procedures, reporting, and efficiencies to include but not limited to Supply Chain operations and assigned area.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting or related degree preferred and No Experience necessary / On-the-Job Training Inventory or supply chain experience or
  • HS diploma or equivalent and 1-2 years experience Operating Room or Procedural experience, purchasing experience as a buyer, value analysis, budgeting, sales experience in medical supplies and/or equipment, logistics, clinical supply coordinator, materials management.
  • Certified Materials and Resource Professional Preferred
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification Preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $23.48/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
