Documentation Unit Specialist
Various Locations Position Summary: Applied Training Solutions, LLC is seeking a Documentation Unit Specialist to ensure the accurate and complete collection and maintenance of incident files generated during response activities. This role is responsible for building a cohesive document repository, clarifying discrepancies, recording minutes, and capturing After-Action Report (AAR) inputs. Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and maintain incident files related to response activities
- Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and well-organized
- Identify and obtain missing records as needed
- Clarify discrepancies and ensure consistency across records
- Record and transcribe meeting minutes during incident response
- Capture inputs and feedback for After-Action Reports (AARs)
- Organize documents into a centralized repository for future reference
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience gathering and updating information
- 2+ years of experience auditing documents for completeness and accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage digital and physical records efficiently
- Must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in emergency management or incident documentation
- Familiarity with ICS documentation and forms
- Proficiency with document management software or platforms

- Performance Location: On-site while on assignment (location TBD)

- Travel Required: Yes - up to 100% while on assignment
Working Environment: Work is performed in Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), field environments, or remote coordination centers. Extended hours and travel may be required across the continental United States and its territories during emergency activations.
