The University of Virginia (UVA) is seeking a highly qualified candidate to join the Student and Family Philanthropy team as an Assistant or Associate Director of Development. Position Summary Reporting to the Managing Director of Student and Family Philanthropy, the successful candidate will generate philanthropic support for the Division of Student Affairs (the Division). The Assistant or Associate Director will be responsible for managing a portfolio of current and prospective annual giving and major-gift level donors ($100K+) and developing a comprehensive solicitation and stewardship strategy to move them towards giving levels that achieve yearly and long-range fundraising goals. Physical Demands This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs. The successful candidate must be able to travel frequently and be available for occasional evening and weekend work. Salary Range (optional)
