What You Will Do:

  • Ensure operations and maintenance activities remain within the guidelines of company Health/Safety and Environmental standards.

  • Perform monthly Pipelines/Terminal gain/loss analysis and investigate monthly anomalies in over/short reports.

  • Utilize common forms of measurement including the use of positive displacement meters, mass flow meters, turbine meters, and solids handling measurement and various tank measurement methods and systems.

  • Ensure measurement meters and LACT units are calibrated as per applicable standards, regarding procedures, frequency, and deviation.

  • Perform hands on troubleshooting and repairs and suggest resolutions for measurement system failures.

  • Ensure implementation of new measurement initiatives and policies and procedures and system upgrades.

  • Review proving factors, flow computer and LC computations, data transmission, SCADA computations.

  • Schedule calibrations, inspections, audits, and other related activities with facility supervisors and third parties

  • Program and troubleshoot OMNI and other flow computers.

  • Participate as witness to all company and third-party prover and water draws.

  • Assist with the end of the month close out and subsequent proving of meters.

  • Ensure the preparation of necessary reports and records are maintained.

Who You Are:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Two years' experience in measurement, meter provers, flow computers, instrumentation.

  • Requires good interpersonal skills and be a self- starter, working independently.

  • Maintain a valid driver's license.

  • Requires the ability to work with computations, have good computer skills and be analytical with good problem solving and attention to detail.

  • Requires excellent written reports and documentation.

Preferred:

  • Associates degree in Electrical Maintenance, Instrumentation, or Industrial Electronics

Familiarity with all areas and all aspects of oil gathering and field operations.

Working Conditions:

  • Office and Field environment with travel more than 100 miles from home base throughout the area of responsibility. Perform daily tasks and to check on measurement issues and ongoing projects. Requires some strenuous physical effort manipulating hoses for prover connections.

  • 100% Drug Free

  • Emergency On-Call alcohol free.

  • Available for emergency call 24 hours a day.

  • Overnight travel of 10-25 days per year required.

  • Maintaining or re-establishing throughput sometimes requires working in extreme cold (-35 F) and extreme heat (100 F).

  • Work often required in high noise level areas and areas where vapors from crude oil and solvents may be present.

Physical Requirements:

Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying ( up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
