JOB DESCRIPTION

We're seeking a detail-oriented Bilingual Claims Assistant (English/Spanish) to provide administrative and customer service support to our nationwide team of Claims Adjusters. This role helps ensure timely and accurate processing of claims, while delivering exceptional service to our brokers, claimants, and insureds. This position is fully onsite (5 days per week) at our San Antonio, TX office, located in the heart of the city near the River Walk.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Play a vital role in supporting our Claims Adjusters by managing key administrative tasks such as check processing, cash receipts, completion of complex state forms, and accurate data entry.
  • Ensure the integrity of our claims process by maintaining precise and up-to-date claim and policy information across multiple systems.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, handling incoming calls and correspondence with professionalism, and efficiency.
  • Safeguard financial accuracy by reviewing and documenting claim payments, reconciling outstanding checks, and addressing discrepancies promptly.
  • Contribute to the team's overall success by adhering to internal procedures, meeting critical deadlines, and supporting smooth, compliant operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bilingual (English & Spanish): Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking both languages; able to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse range of customers.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
  • Vocational/technical education with 1+ year of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • Technically proficient, with strong skills in MS Office Suite and the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Highly accurate and detail-oriented, with a typing speed of 50+ words per minute.
  • Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
  • Organized and adaptable, able to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative and proactive team player, demonstrating accountability and a commitment to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
