The 3D Systems site in Littleton, Colorado needs a skilled Quality Control Supervisor to strengthen our Personalized Healthcare Solutions (PHS) leadership team under the Production Quality Manager. This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do




  • Manage PHS QC Activities: Organize daily work in support of PHS product inspection, approval, and shipment preparation. Monitor the inspection queue to ensure cases are processed accurately and efficiently and identify and resolve workflow problems in a timely manner. Engage in regular workflow process conversations. Support late-build shipments (up to 6:00pm) with carriers and emergency counter-to-counter drop-offs (up to 7:00pm). Support weekend Trauma care cases.
  • Oversee QC team: Monitor performance and conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports. Communicate with customers, both internal and external, in a timely and effective manner. Train, coach, empower and mentor employees on delivering outstanding customer service. Verify all employees are current on their required training. Participate in yearly budget process to develop hiring strategy and execute staffing plan in response to labor demand fluctuations. Gauge and approve PTO requests with current and forecasted workload. Prepare annual reviews and support growth by contributing to employee goals and assist with preparing merit increases.
  • Address Non-Conforming product: Identify potential non-conforming product, segregate, and create NCR records. Assist in disposition and expediting product on NCR.
  • Enforce Quality Procedures: Establish and maintain expertise in ISO 13485 and AS9100 regulations and 3D Systems' implementation of those regulations in our procedures and work instructions. Ensure QC team is adhering to released procedures and monitor in-process product and paperwork for compliance of upstream processes. Because many shipments directly support a patient, understand criticality of adhere to strict HIPPA and data verification during QC inspection process.
  • Support Engineering: Work closely with and contribute to our engineering team in implementing new products and/ or process improvements. Provide input for documentation changes, process improvements, or development projects.
  • Continuously Improve: Provide input to improve product flow from receiving, inspection, internal delivery, warehouse/inventory management, delivery to manufacturing, pack out and through shipping. Actively pursue new trends in warehousing, transportation and inventory management. Assist in cost analysis activities that support alternate logistics processes that benefit our customers and improve how we conduct business.

Qualifications

What You Will Bring




  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a high pace manufacturing environments with a proven track record of success
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks at one time, and determine best priorities across multiple inputs
  • Proven and demonstrated leadership experience in supervisory, lead roles or proven experience to lead diverse groups of people with a manufacturing environment, with the ability to coach and develop teams
  • Proven experience thriving in cross-functional environments, demonstrating ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and departments
  • Strong problem solver who uses logic, reasoning, and data-driven decision-making to tackle complex challenges in manufacturing environments
  • Background in the medical device industry with knowledge of ISO13485 standards, highly valued for our medical device solutions focus
  • Background in custom device medical manufacturing (PHS).
  • This position serves the Quality Control Group, which includes the need to work on export-controlled products from aerospace and defense customers



Preferred Educational Background & Experience




  • Associates Degree
  • Additional experience in AS9100 preferred
