The RPA Programmer Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and implementing automation solutions using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools to enhance operational efficiency at OneAZ Credit Union. This role focuses on streamlining business processes by creating software robots that mimic human interactions, allowing staff to shift focus to more strategic tasks.

Key responsibilities include developing Solution Design Documents (SDD) and Process Definition Documents (PDD), leading automation initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to identify and design RPA solutions, and ensuring scalability, security, and system compatibility. The analyst will also test and monitor automated workflows, manage technical documentation, fix bugs, train users on attended bots, and provide ongoing technical support. Additionally, this role coordinates with internal teams and vendors for system upgrades and continuous process improvement, ensuring high-quality, sustainable automation solutions.

  • Design, develop, test, and implement automation workflows using RPA tools to meet business objectives.
  • Deploy RPA components, including bots, development tools, code repositories, and logging mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, deliver solutions, and ensure successful project execution.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production RPA bots to minimize downtime and maintain business continuity.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, training materials, Solution Design Documents (SDD), and Process Definition Documents (PDD).
  • Support the deployment, launch, and ongoing maintenance of RPA solutions in production environments.
  • Maintain and update existing RPA bots, ensuring continued alignment with business processes and performance standards.
  • Design and build user interfaces to support attended bot interactions and improve user experience.
  • Develop and maintain RPA framework libraries to enable reusable and consistent automation components.
  • Produce test cases, perform testing, and document results to ensure quality and accuracy of automated solutions.
  • Promote and enforce RPA development best practices around coding standards, solution design, security, and performance.
  • Monitor performance metrics of automated processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement optimization strategies.
  • Administer and support business continuity and recovery procedures for RPA systems and data integrity.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities to meet established service level agreements (SLAs) and deadlines.
  • Understand and comply with Credit Union policies, industry regulations, and applicable federal/state laws, including the Bank Secrecy Act, AML, and OFAC requirements.

What You Bring

  • H.S. Diploma Required
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology; Equivalent work experience in software development, process automation, or related technical fields may be considered in lieu of formal education required
  • 3-5 years similar or related experience utilizing programming languages in professional environment required.
  • 1-3 years similar or related experience hands-on experience designing, developing, and deploying RPA solutions using UiPath platform required.
  • Proven experience in analyzing business processes and identifying automation opportunities. High.
  • Strong background in programming/scripting languages such as VB.NET, C#, Python, or JavaScript. High.
  • Experience with RPA lifecycle including requirement gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. High.
  • Familiarity with SQL databases, APIs, and integrations between RPA tools and enterprise systems.
  • Prior experience working in agile project environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in creating documentation such as Process Definition Documents (PDD), Solution Design Documents (SDD), user guides, and test cases.
  • Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting production bots and automation solutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance, security, and governance practices related to automation in financial or regulated industries is a plus.
