USESI has an immediate full-time Yard Jockey / Backup Loader opening within our Cranbury, NJ Distribution Center. We are looking for motivated, safety-focused individuals to join our team. The Warehouse Associate will be responsible for the following job duties: Safely move delivery trucks within the yard to align with proper loading doors during multiple waves of outbound shipping. Operate sit-down forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load and unload material inside the building and in the yard. Load various types of vehicles including box trucks, flatbeds, and Moffett-equipped trucks with care and accuracy. Secure all freight for safe transport using proper techniques and equipment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Conduct daily yard checks and communicate equipment/fleet concerns promptly to Transportation, the shift lead, or supervisor. Prepare, stage, and verify outbound freight for accuracy before loading. Support general warehouse functions and assist with material handling as needed. Perform job duties in all weather conditions and outdoor environments year-round. Occasionally assist with backup loading responsibilities on the warehouse floor. Required Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Previous experience moving commercial vehicles in a yard or similar environment preferred. Ability to operate sit-down forklifts; certification a plus. Experience loading materials and working with different truck types is preferred. Able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Wire product knowledge is a plus, but not required. Strong multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail. Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory or routing software. Ability to read, write, and understand English to follow safety instructions, delivery documentation, and company procedures. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
