This position sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.

Job Summary

• Uses computer-controlled equipment to select, position and secure automatic or semi-automatic machines
• Controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.
• Operates manufacturing machines as instructed by supervisory personnel to produce parts to meet company standards for quality and quantity.
• Checks and inspect parts with guidance from supervisor for conformance to quality standards
• Reports machine discrepancies and production problems to minimize downtime and scrap
• Keeps work area clean and orderly for efficiency and safety
• Maintains records on time, job, part, operation, etc. for production reporting
• Works with deburring and grinding equipment
• Work from verbal and written direction of others

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand blueprints
• Ability to read and understand G or M code

Required Experience and Education

• H.S. Diploma or GED
• 1+ years related experience
