POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Alutiiq Operations Services, LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Hazmat Coordinator supporting Tinker Air Force Base located in Oklahoma City, OK. This position performs the monitoring and maintenance of the Alutiiq Commercial Enterprises, LLC Safety Data Sheets (SDS), monitors and supports all hazard material inventories from receipt to consumption including data and documentation, keeps supervisor apprised of unique situations and problems encountered, and identify and reports safety, environmental, and other work requirements for resolution.



  • Produces Hazard Material (HAZMAT) labels as materials are received.
  • Inputs hazard material requests into the Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Management Information System (EESOHMIS).
  • Reviews material requests of hazard materials and forwards information to base environmental for approval.
  • Provides Alutiiq LLC craft shops with corrective guidance for expired hazardous materials.
  • Participates in the Tinker AFB Hazardous Material Management Program team meetings.
  • Coordinates with Alutiiq LLC Safety and Civil Engineer Environmental Management on hazardous material issues requiring resolution.
  • Assists Safety and Civil Engineer Environmental Management in ECAMP inspections.
  • Utilizes and interprets Civil Engineer Air Force Instruction (AFI) and specifications, verbal and written instructions.
  • Interfaces with customers and responsible for customer feedback, as applicable.
  • Operates motor vehicles in accordance with company vehicle policies.
  • Complies with applicable federal, state, United States Air Force (USAF) and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) environmental laws and regulations.
  • Complies with health and safety rules and procedures; performs work in a manner that enhances the safety of the work environment.
  • Incumbent will at all times wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as determined by position and duties.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Accurate, timely, and cost effective performance of duties.
  • Working harmoniously with customers and fellow co-workers.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of all Alutiiq LLC related matters.
  • Accountable for assigned tools, materials and equipment.
  • Cleanliness and safety of shop and work areas.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or equivalency.
  • Valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance.
  • Demonstrated skills in using various computer software, including ability to use the Windows operating system as well as common office software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point.
  • Three (3) years minimum experience in procurement, environmental, HAZMAT or inventory control.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications.
  • Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in technology, codes and standards.
  • Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations.
  • Demonstrated working ability read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Pursuant to Government Contract, you must be a U.S. Citizen.


Preferred Qualifications and Experience:



  • Five (5) years' experience in procurement, environmental, HAZMAT or inventory control.
  • Military experience.
  • Previous experience working on a military installation.
  • Experience working on Tinker facilities.
  • Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable.
