Risk Registry Coordinator

Harkcon is hiring a Risk Registry Coordinator to update and maintain the Search and Rescue Satellite Aided Tracking (SARSAT) interagency risk registry and related SARSAT documents. This position supports the Project Management Office (PMO) by identifying, documenting, and tracking program risks, impacts, probabilities, and mitigation strategies, ensuring risk data is current and integrated into program decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update the SARSAT interagency Risk Registry.
• Gather and document risk information from NOAA, NASA, USAF, USCG, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze risk impacts, probability of occurrence, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Prepare cost-benefit analyses for risk mitigation options.
• Support development of program risk briefings and reports for PMO leadership.
• Integrate risk management data into program plans and schedules to track evolving technical, operational, and security risks across the program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting risk management in federal or technical programs.
• Familiarity with risk management frameworks and tools.
• Strong analytical and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-agency, fast-paced environment.
• Active SECRET clearance (desired); eligible for SECRET clearance (required).

Work conditions

• FT / 40 hours per week.
• This is a hybrid position with the requirement for worker to be in the DC area as there will be occasional meetings/events in DC; Greenbelt, MD; and Suitland, MD.
• The majority of daily work will be performed via telework.
• Some domestic and international travel can be expected.
