Regional Medical Directors (RMDs) play an important role in promoting a safe and just clinical environment for our patients and providers. Regional Medical Directors maintain a clinical caseload and/or supervision, as well as provide administrative services. The Regional Medical Director will work as a dyad partner to the Regional Vice President (RVP) of Operations for their region(s). Regional Medical Directors formally report up through the Chief Medical Officer for Clinical Services.

Due to business needs and travel requirements, residency on the East Coast is highly preferred. You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Indirectly supervise clinic medical directors/psychiatric leads within the region
  • Manage clinical services rendered within the clinics in the region through centralized reporting and data collection
  • Provide clinical consultation for clinic-level Medical Directors and psychiatric providers' direct reports consisting of psychiatric physicians and/or advanced practice clinicians (APCs)
  • Serve as a business partner to regional operations leader to support delivery of high quality and affordable care
  • Continue to engage in clinical work and clinical supervision at local center commensurate with assigned clinical hours & expectations

Required Qualifications:



  • MD or DO license in state of practice
  • ABPN certification
  • 5+ years of post-residency clinical work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in a medical leadership role
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to outpatient mental health centers on the East Coast



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Dual board certification in addiction, children, or perinatal care
  • Experience working in an outpatient psychiatric environment
  • Experience training and educating clinical staff
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS or other Electronic Health Record system (EHR)
  • Understanding of the business aspects of a large-scale organization including operations and finance
  • Understanding of federal and state regulations
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to change

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $258,000 - $423,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
