Overview
Responsible for the educational program design and development that includes early childhood education, as well as family educational programming. Providing services to the broader community by working closely with local/regional early childhood programming and home visiting services to ensure best practices are routinely implemented. The designer will use strong interpersonal, written, and visual communication skills, bringing text, images, video and audio to communicate and educate children and families. This role works to enhance the educational and social-emotional development of children, while building and maintaining trusting relationships with staff, families, and community resource partners. This role will guide the education and teaching practices for the Healthy Beginnings volunteers, community liaisons, nurses, and social workers in addition to providing that support to other community home visiting services as well. Qualifications Certifications: , Education: , Work Experience: Responsibilities Requires an overall knowledge of principles, practices, and techniques of providing education assistance to families. Utilize evidence based strategies for family engagement. Holds a robust understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of our clients. Develops and designs the early childhood educational programming provided to Healthy Beginnings enrolled families and associates. Collaborates with local/regional early childhood programming to ensure best practices are utilized. Has the ability to integrate into practice full consideration of the chronological age, developmental level, and the cultural diversity of the family. Designs and coordinates long and short term activities associated with a curriculum’s objectives. Oversight of childcare activities/programs for events related to Healthy Beginnings Home Visiting Services or Mobile Clinic Services. Home Visits for families enrolled in the Nurse Home Visiting Program. Documentation of home visit encounters and activities/assessments performed in electronic medical record. Recommendations for further evaluations or screenings needed. Assists clients and families in utilizing community resources. Assists in facilitating educational opportunities for the entire family. Organize and maintain toy/education resource library for the department. Will act as a mandated reported, reporting suspicions of child abuse and/or neglect to the Department of Children and Family Services. About Us Find it here. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $26.86per hour - $44.86per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
