Description
Summary: Responsible for the planning and overall clinical operations of the bariatric program. Manages ongoing clinical data analysis, infection control, radiation safety, risk management, program development, and implementation of processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the bariatric program. Responsible for maintenance of accreditation with JCAHO, Texas Department of Health, Texas Department of Public Safety and the State Board of Pharmacy. Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the planning and overall operation of the bariatric program
- Manages ongoing clinical data analysis, program development, and implementation of processes to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the bariatric program
- Requires ability to facilitate and lead patient seminars and staff education; ability to take initiative and meet objectives with no to minimal supervision; ability to plan and manage the efficient and effective utilization of resources; and projection of a professional image in appearance and attitude
- Participates in activities that market the Bariatric program
- Reviews marketing materials for accuracy and, when applicable, develops marketing materials to support the Bariatric program and reviews material with Bariatric team
- Effectively manages/coordinates assigned staff in a consistent manner
- Participates in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development/training, evaluation, and when applicable, the discipline of assigned staff Effectively and efficiently manage and utilize all available processes and resources to optimize patient flow and maximize provider productivity while ensuring quality patient care
- Identifies, analyzes and resolves any workflow/process problems with regard to the bariatric program
Requirements: Education/Skills
- Bachelor's Degree of Related Field (Preferred)
Experience
- Three years od current experience in the area of bariatrics, strongly preferred.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Registered Nurse or Registered Dietician (Preferred)
Work Schedule: 8AM - 5PM Monday-Friday Work Type: Full Time
