You'll lead production of custom electrical control panels in a high-mix,
low-volume environment, partnering closely with engineering, purchasing, and

Job Responsibilities & Requirements What You Will Do
Build it from the ground up: Design processes, write SOPs, and create a production environment that runs smoothly and safely. Guide your team with vision: Hire, coach, and develop a brand-new production team, shaping the culture and performance standards from day one. Drive results: Oversee daily operations, production scheduling, and workforce management to deliver on-time, high-quality electrical control panels. Champion quality & compliance: Ensure every panel meets electrical codes, UL standards, safety requirements, and internal specifications. Problem-solve in real time: Partner with Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality to resolve issues quickly and keep production moving. Improve continuously: Implement lean practices, 5S, and layout optimization to boost efficiency and reduce waste. Coach and inspire: Develop team members' skills, provide constructive feedback, and create a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance. Be the go-to leader on the floor: Stay close to the action, guiding your team through tight deadlines, custom builds, and evolving customer needs. Prepare for the future: Maintain equipment readiness and contribute to capital planning to improve safety and operational efficiencies.

What You Bring
Leadership experience - 2+ years leading people in a production or manufacturing environment, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop a team. Electrical know-how - Strong understanding of electrical panel assembly, with the ability to read and interpret schematics, layouts, and BOMs. Standards & quality focus - Familiarity with UL standards, panel testing, and regulatory compliance. Process mindset - Experience with lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement initiatives; you see inefficiencies and fix them. Tools of the trade - Comfortable with ERP/MRP systems, Microsoft Office, and ideally exposure to AutoCAD, EPLAN, or SolidWorks Electrical. Education - An associate or bachelor's degree in Electrical Technology, Industrial Management, or a related field preferred. Hands-on approach - You're not a desk-only manager; you thrive on being on the production floor, solving problems alongside your team. Preferred - 5+ years in electrical panel assembly or industrial electrical manufacturing, with a track record of success in custom or high-mix/low-volume environments.
Physical Demands
This role is primarily performed in an office environment where a computer, telephone and other office equipment are used as needed to perform the duties of the role. As part of the essential functions of this role, the individual will need to access a factory and be exposed to temperature changes.
