Staffing Specialist-Temporary (6-12 months)

The Staffing Specialist is responsible for assisting the hiring managers with the recruitment and selection of open positions. This position is designed as a project position with a duration of 6-12 months - with targeted focus on contract hiring but may venture into direct placement.



Description of Essential Duties:




  • Manage the partner firms and relationships - including but not limited to:


    • Ensuring master service agreements (contracts) and work orders are in place
    • Placing orders with contract agencies
    • Ensuring the recruiting process is completed and the job requirements/specifications are met
    • Hosting weekly connects with contracting agencies to share current status of their candidates as well as upcoming needs are communicated


  • Manage the contract hiring process including the management of the requisition process and approvals, determining recruitment strategies, writing and placing ads & job postings, and screening and interviewing applicants
  • Manage open position report and ensure that all parties receive current and accurate updates on status of current needs


    • Gain approval for candidate and communicate hourly rate including expectations and tool needs Partner with supervisor to ensure that technical onboarding and training is completed


  • Gather performance information about contractors from supervisors and share with agencies.


    • Address contractor employee relations items and escalate matters to a HRBP for items connected to a JOA employee.


  • Complete all system set up items for onboarding and first day details
  • Own contract onboarding process including but not limited to day one onboarding presentations.
  • Maintain all records related to contract hires and complete appropriate reporting



Description of Occasional Job Functions:



  • Assist H.R. staff during peak times with additional duties as assigned (i.e., employee recognition program, company events & activities)
  • Assist in recruiting JOA direct hires

  • Education equivalent to a bachelor's degree in business or a related field or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • Requires previous leadership, recruiting and hiring experience.
  • Must be reliable, self-starter, and possess natural curiosity.
  • Requires a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with a diverse group of people and external candidates.
