ARES has an exciting opportunity for a Network Communications Engineer. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Network Communications Engineer serves as the subject matter expert who collaborates with tenants and external communications providers on BGIF, OBAC, and any OPIR TAP Lab extension outages, testing, upgrades, impacts, risks, mitigation, status and reporting in conjunction with planned or unplanned events.
- Responsibilities and duties include identification of configuration items, implementing change control, configuration status accounting, and physical configuration audits.
EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES/SKILLS:
- Ability to act as Subject matter expert to collaborate with multiple tenants and external communications providers on outages, testing, upgrades, impacts, risks, mitigation, status and reporting in conjunction with planned or unplanned network operations and events.
- Ability to research, test, and make recommendations for new hardware and software network technologies in alignment with the Government's mission priorities, architecture planning and strategic investment.
Education:
- At a minimum, the Network Comms Engineer shall have a B.S. degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field with seven (7) years of relevant experience. Candidate shall possess a Security+ CE, CNNP, CASP+ CE, SSCP or equivalent intermediate certification per DoD 8140.03. Must possess a current TS Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
- Additionally, the position will require the completion of a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph if they do not have one on file.
