This position, Intake and Emergency Services Director (Job Requisition #53144), is open to all State employees and external applicants. AHS BACKGROUND CHECKS: Candidates must pass any level of background investigation applicable to the position. In accordance with AHS Policy 4.02, Hiring Standards, Vermont and/or national criminal record checks, as well as DMV and adult and child abuse registry checks, as appropriate to the position under recruitment, will be conducted on candidates, with the exception of those who are current classified state employees seeking transfer, promotion or demotion into an AHS classified position or are persons exercising re-employment (RIF) rights. Environmental Factors
Duties are performed largely in an office setting although field travel will be necessary, for which private means of transportation must be available. Although duties normally occur within a regular weekday schedule, evening and weekend duty will be necessary to provide necessary service and/or emergency coverage as well as regular supervision to units that cover 24/7 operations. The availability of this person to the units for support and supervision in emergency and high risk situations is a common occurrence and will require some flexibility and planning. Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in social work or public administration and two years in a human services program; including one year of supervisory or administrative duties. Total Compensation
