SCOPE
- The role of the Professional Education Manager is to oversee all aspects of planning and execution of our world class Learn@Sirtex physician education programs and activities on a national scale. This individual will also oversee all key administrative activities and logistics associated with the physician speaker program. The Professional Education Manager will focus on new and innovative ways to enhance the Sirtex approach to physician education. Meaningful collaboration with internal stakeholders such as sales, marketing and medical as well as external collaborators/partners (i.e.: physician proctors and educators) will be a critical driver of success.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- This individual will report to the Director of Marketing, North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the planning and successful execution of each Learn@Sirtex Center of Education (COE) event throughout the US each calendar year.
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with the key commercial stakeholders and physician educators to create meaningful and engaging educational opportunities.
- Introduce new and innovative activities designed to enhance our educational initiatives (e.g. webinars, podcasts, video interviews, etc.)
- Supervise all administrative and logistical aspects of the US Speaker program in close collaboration with commercial leadership and the medical/clinical affairs team.
- Execute the development, launch and maintenance of physician web platforms and external newsletter communications under the Learn@Sirtex brand.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in the development, execution and logistics of hands-on physician experiential practical labs (e.g. LAVA Labs, COEs, etc.)
- Collaborate with members of the medical team to develop and update all presentations and drive approval through the appropriate channels within the organization.
- Ensure that all educational activities follow the Sirtex compliance guidelines as well as those provided by the government.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance to regularly review and establish industry/specialty specific compensation guidelines for the physician proctors and educators.
- Continuously educate oneself on latest information related to disease states, clinical data and the ever changing business environment.
- Cultivate and develop relationships with our proctors, educators and other key opinion leaders.
- Support all other duties assigned by management.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong organizational and project management skills, coupled with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a challenging environment are required.
- Ability/willingness to travel up to 30% including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
EDUCATION PREREQUISITES AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree required and a masters degree or MBA ideal.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in either pharmaceuticals and/or medical devices. This can be a combination of roles in education, sales and marketing.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with a variety of audiences.
- Self-starter that will drive innovation, creativity and resourcefulness to create meaningful educational opportunities.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills to support future decisions and updates need to the educational initiatives and programs.
- Confident in presenting in front of large groups and updating management with some regularity.
- Willing to travel and support in-person educational programs and events.
- Observe and comply with all Sirtex Corporate Policies.
- Work within and ensure adherence to Quality System procedures, work instructions and other Quality System requirements.
The target base salary range for this position will range from $111,000 to $139,000 annually.Individual compensation for this job requisition will be based on non-discriminatory factors, including your geographic location, skills, experience, education and other factors as they relate to the position requirements. Actual compensation may vary depending on the confirmed job-related skills and experience. In addition to the expected base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in Sirtex's incentive programs (target bonus of 10% for this position)and benefit plans, which include paid sick and vacation time, health insurance and a generous 401k matching program.
