Outpatient Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician

The Home Patient Care Technician must demonstrate familiarity with dialysis procedures and the

knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assume the responsibility of supporting the home

dialysis patient. This position exercises knowledge of patient rights and ensures an atmosphere

that allows for the privacy, dignity, and well-being of all patients in a safe, secure environment.

The position works under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse experienced or trained in

dialysis treatment. Cooperates and works together with all co-workers to plan and complete job

duties with applicable supervisory direction, including exercising job-appropriate judgment. This role will be on-site at a facility in North Providence.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 4+ years of dialysis experience may substitute if allowed by state regulations.
• Completion of facility-specific training with demonstrated competency.
• Must meet state/licensing requirements.
• Experienced PCTs need current certification from BONENT, NNCC, or NNCO. New PCTs must certify within 18 months.
• Previous ESRD experience preferred.
• Experienced PCTs must have current BLS certification; new hires must obtain BLS within 30 days.
• Ability to read and interpret safety, operating, and procedure manuals and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.

Salary Range:

• $25.59 - $33.18 / hour depending on experience and qualifications
