Requisition 39028: Charlotte Roadway Shop - Carman Resumes give the hiring staff a snapshot of your work experience. Job Description Work shall consist of fabrication, welding, and application of steps, bumpers, railings, and cabs to track maintenance machines as well as minor building repairs and carpenter work. Must be familiar with repair shop equipment and tools and be able to work from or without mechanical drawings. Newly hired employees in the craft will begin as Student Carmen at 75% of Journeyman Carmen pay rate. Carmen must satisfactorily complete company furnished welding and freight car repair training and have or accumulate at least 2 years of related experience to qualifying for full journeyman pay rate.
